It's mind-boggling how much some people will overpay just to be "The First" to get one. Especially since whoever they buy from had it before them, so they aren't "The First" anyway .....

Looking forward to these, but primes alt mode doesn't hide much in this Cybertronian form.

You know, I am really not the type of guy that will bash Recent Transformers toys. I collected many of them up until and including Energon. I have bashed the cartoons and recent movie because I truly feel they were no where near the quality of the G1 series. The toys though were pretty good in general with a stinker here and there. The only reason I stopped collecting recent Transformers toys was due to space for the most part.
I have to say though that these Animated toys are crap. They are just hideous. Is it just me or has the Cartoon Network doomed society as we know it.

Amen brother!
If it doesn't fit into what they think kids want to see they give the show some obscure time slot and then say well it doesn't have a following or they keep moving it around.
I very much dislike CN.

Hell Mike would rather destroy all of them then sell them off
I have to admit about 20 years ago I took a hammer to Wheelie and smashed it to bits.I think I took out my anger of how at the time G1 changed and i had missed Prime and everybody from the first two seasons before the movie

heh, remember the Re-issue Prowl? I don't think wheeljack35 was around for that one
But anyways, yeah, Prowl is looking really awesome! I don't like lockdown's robot mode very much, It's kind of wonky, but Prowl is amazing, I love the way the legs fold out taking the front and rear tires and making them the left and right knee!
Bumbleebee's Transformation is amazing as well

More ebay pics, this time of deluxe prime: I'm not a big fan of the face, but the rest looks great.

Here're prime's motto, bio, and abilities, from tfw and ebay:
"As a team, we can accomplish anything"
"Despite having washed out of the AUTOBOT academy, Optimus Prime is a natural leader. Trained to lead the bravest of the brave into battle against overwhelming odds, he eagerly looked forward to his first assignment. It's just too bad the DECEPTICONS were defeated ages ago, and the only crews left to lead are the maintenance squads that keep the Space Bridge network running. Since his assignment, he's lost track of his ambition. The last thing he expects is the chance to test his leadership abilities in a battle to defend his home and fight for freedom."
Galactic Powers & Abilities
- Can cut reinforced steel. - Advanced fire-fighting systems. - Trained at Autobot academy.
..an interesting departure, to say the least; it'll (hopefully) be interesting to see this prime develop into a true leader.

Sounds like a little bit of Orion Pax and Optimus Primal in there.
Definitely an interesting departure. I'm hoping they can make a good story out of this, and not end up as yet another ill-done attempt to rehash G1.
