I just don't like the leg "flaps" hanging off like that; the original sketches were better. Oh well, classics ss is good enough for me, and seems like a better toy, imo.

I hope those missles can be attached to the wings. This is definitely on my "want, but check the price first" list.

PLEASE tell me you are kidding. You would sacrifice a masterpiece toy for a cheap chunk of plastic like classics ss? A Masterpiece is a matter of opinion ;D Amen. If "mp" ss was more g1 accurate I'd be more inclined to get it ($100 isn't worth anything less than near-perfection for me; classics ss is $10 and is awesome, so, he's my g1 ss). Classics ss is in scale w/ more tfs and is a better toy (I don't really consider mp/anniv prime or mp ss toys; they're collectibles). Besides, I want toys more than collectibles; if I got mp ss, it'd be much like my anniv prime; it'll sit on my shelf for months on end w/o being touched. Classics ss I'll play w/ and tf much more often.

Well - your loss is money saved, I suppose.
I am probably just going to take the parts off of his legs after he is transformed.

I just think it is a pretty nitpicky thing to use in order to write-off the entire figure - especially since you have yet to see a final painted version or see him in person.

For that much money, I'd want near-perfection, as I said. If I would buy it, it'd be the most I've ever spent on a tf, and for me to do that for a character in this line, that character should be as close to g1 accurate as possible. It's true that mp/anniv prime had some license taken in it's creation, which did bother me a little bit, but that was prime so I had to have him. I don't have as much regard for ss. There are also my points about toy vs. collectible. I'm more interested in toys, for the most part.

F-15 perfection will prevail in my thought procese. So as soon at it hits the US shelves I will be scrounging up cash to get it.

Dude Destro, Now your saying Materpiece Prime was not Perfect? Jeez man that was the best Transformer EVER MADE. I don't see how they could have made him any better. And as far as starscream goes, that thing looks pretty darn close to the definition of "cool." Destro you're still my homie, but come on man, are you looking at the same toys the rest of us are?

I sure am. MP Prime wasn't as g1 accurate as it could have been (two truck grills, the front of the truck wasn't flat), but I will say it is great nonetheless (there is no such thing as the perfect anything imo, at least as far as man-made stuff goes). MP SS just isn't as good as it could've been, imo, and I'm not gonna shell out that kind of cash for it. I don't understand why they couldn't leave it alone.. Let me also say that mp ss is a great collectible, I'm not saying it isn't, but for my money, it simply isn't worth it. For $100 I could get primus and a wave of sota street fighter w/ some change to spare. Our toy buying priorities are just different; it's all just a matter of opinion, of course.

So you won't buy a masterpiece Starscream that is slightly off from the G1 version, yet you will buy a transformer that looks like.... nothing at all (like Metroplex) from the Cybertron line?
Ha - and don't link to that huge crane thingy from TNI as an excuse, either. Haha!

I probably won't buy metroplex, but then I'm not concerned w/ any type of nostalgic accuracy w/ him; he looks like that crane vehicle on tni (liberties were taken for the bot mode obviously, and still doesn't look that great imo), but I do think some of the fan modes are awesome, and those would be the modes along w/ bot mode, that I'd display him in. And he's less than half the price of mp ss.

I am trying to be objective on this thing (yeah, I know first time for everything) After comparing the Masterpiece edition with the Classics one I just feel that the Classics gives of more the G1 vibe. I think what is influencing my oppinion is that the classics looks less realistic. the G1 cartoon was very straight lined and blocky. It didn't have the detail of the Masterpiece.

Guys - i honestly don't know how you can have an opinion on which one is better before even seeing the masterpiece at all.

Guys - i honestly don't know how you can have an opinion on which one is better before even seeing the masterpiece at all. Easy, I look at the pictures I have seen then form my opinion based on those pictures. The great thing about opinions is that they can change in the blink of an eye. New pictures may come or seeing them in the store may be a case where I change said opinion.

I will admit though - that I do wish they would change the legs up before the "final final" version.
