Just finished watching the movie and a few Questions popped into my head. 1. Why did only Prime turn black when he died? 2. If the Junkions fixed the dead Ultra Magnus why didn't they fix the dead Optimus Prime? 3.Why did Unicron Treat Cybertron like an ordinary Planet instead of his Mortal Enemy Primus? 4. Why did it take a entire ship to break thru Unicron's eye but only a few bots to break the other?

Pimus wasnt in the picture by the time TFTM came out.
The Junkions issue, well, thats beyond me because Magnus was shooted more times than Prime.

Just finished watching the movie and a few Questions popped into my head. 1. Why did only Prime turn black when he died? Well, Starscream did too - but who else died? We didn't really *see* all the bots completely dead, but rather all of them shot. For instance...on the shuttle. Wheeljack and Windcharger were taken out in battle at some point, but there was never anything that said they died. Perhaps some of them would have turned black later? I dunno. The only confirmation of dudes that died came in Dark Awakening when Daniel read off names from the crypts - Ironhide, Ratchet & Huffer. Ultra Magnus is an interesting story because he was just blown apart. Oddly, the Autobots never even talk about trying to repair him. They just find him and pull a "he's dead, Jim." From a more realistic rather than "fantasy canon" side of things, I believe that the reasons were this: Prime's death was meant to be a VERY sealed deal. He's done. It's over. He could have just turned his head to the side and ceased to function, but all of the kids watching it probably would have figured "they could just bring him back with some extra parts or something!" (Just like they did in the show throughout the first two seasons) Ha - this still didn't stop them from bringing him back, but again - it was meant to be a more visual sense of termination. Looking back on it, I really love that scene. Granted, I cried back in the day - but look how it was done. You have Prime hand over the leadership to Ultra Magnus. He drops the Matrix and Hot Rod recovers it. That in itself foreshadows a future event. Prime gives his last words right as the music shifts (one of Dicola's best songs). He turns black and dies, his head turning to one side. The viewer has an extra sense of closure. Daniel finishes the emotional tension by doing something which represents how both viewers and Autobots are feeling but no Autobot in the room can do - he cries. Great scene. I think the extra sense of termination given from Prime's death scene shows why that probably wouldn't have been attempted. Plus, it wouldn't have "fit" in the movie. I suppose they could have *tried* it after the events of the movie, but the writers had infamous plans for the Quintessons.... Uhhh...who? Well, I don't think they were going to park the ship & get out before breaking into Unicron. Plus the exit was added as more of a flare there at the end.

Now, yes it is. But according to the history, back in 1986, Cybertron was just the planet Cybertron. thats why he never mentioned it.

Prowl tuned grey and started smokeing when he got shot. He was also the first victim of the movie.

Prowl did change colors in his close up - but then fell and still had some white and blue in him. Of course, he is also naturally black and white as well.
He definitely was not the first "victim" as Brawn fell before he did.
It's funny that so many people argue over the fact of if Brawn lived or not. If he lived, then everyone else could have easily lived. If he died ....then they very well all could have died.

I guess Brawn did get shot first, but Prowls was the more dramatic one. I just wish there would be another sceen in that sceen. You know, when Ironhide becomes toy acurate. lol

Just finished seeing the Rebirth again. ok now questions on this. 1. Why would a double spy say watch out for my other me? 2. Why was Scourge the only decep to go put in the key when the Autobots took a WHOLE ship? 3. Why are the headmasters and Humans for that matter 2/3 the size of Galvatron and Prime? Hey folks check out the pic below they actually had a better version of the Apex armor in Japan! pg38

Never have I seen that form of the armor before. Its always been the armor that came in the reissue.

Yeah, but that armor is way better looking than the one for the reissue. I also noticed he had different guns and legs, should I go out to check my eyes, or am I right? It also seems that the big deal here is the God Bomber and the former launcher.

Just finished seeing the Rebirth again. ok now questions on this. 1. Why would a double spy say watch out for my other me? As Counter Punch (I think thats the Decepticon appearance), he had to maintain an appearance of being highly knowledgable of Autobot plans and movements. I imagine that if Season 4 had gone on, we would have seen Counter Punch "leak" good information to help maintain that mask. Knowing the general area of your counterpart on the other side would be a part of being the master spy. Other than that, it was a quick gimmick to get the idea across that Punch was a double agent. Speaking tactically, the Autobots had no idea who was down there, and had to plan for the worst when they arrived. Scourge could be reasonably sure no one was there ahead of him. Otherwise, it could put upon a combination of creating a dramatic moment and the script cuts from 5 eps to 3. Was G1 EVER 100% consistent on anything? Plus, the Headmasters and Targetmasters were pilots in robot shells, not wearing exo-suits, so they would be bigger than normal. Though again, the exo-suit/cockpit idea kept getting switched in the animation .....

Just finished seeing the Rebirth again. ok now questions on this. 1. Why would a double spy say watch out for my other me? To sell his toy! Hehehehehe. Because that was his side mission to take care of while the rest of the Decepticons attacked the Autobots on Cybertron. The Autobots took the ship down there in order to catch up with him, I guess. While we didn't see the inbetween shots, I am sure that Scourge transformed and burned it down there. Afterall - it was "12 levels below generator C." "Disguise! Besides - It sure beats walking!" - Trailbreaker when Spike asked him why they transform. I am not sure which scene you are talking about - but as Rebirth was the last hurrah for G1, the animation budget was pretty low. And of course it fluctuated all throughout the series just as EVERY bit of early 80s animation did. Artifact of the times.

Was G1 EVER 100% consistent on anything? Yes. It was consistant at being a good show from beginning to end - unlike all the other Transformers series out there. We'll have to see how the next TF series goes. Of course there were a few episodes here and there that are questionable - but it's funny because for those few episodes which a lot of people don't like...there is a group that likes them. Hahahaha.
